Food Safety Training Legislation

Food safety legislation requires food handlers to have adequate food safety training: “Food handlers must receive appropriate supervision, and be instructed and/or trained in food hygiene, to enable them to handle food safely, and those responsible for developing and maintaining the business’s food safety procedures, based on HACCP principles, must have received adequate training” – . There is not a legal requirement to have a formal certificate but it is a very useful way to demonstrate that your staff have received an adequate level of food safety training.
