Highfield Qualifications Level 2 Award in Food Safety at Sea (RQF)

Suitable for: chefs, kitchen assistants, interior crew, and anyone else who may handle food whilst on board. It is ideal for those working on cruise ships or superyachts. 

Course content: this one day course covers all the essential food safety practices and behaviors required on board to serve safe food.

Course includes: costs of poor hygiene, microbiology & food poisoning, contamination, allergens, HACCP and food storage, personal hygiene, cleaning, food pests, design of food preparation facilities, and relevant food safety legislation.

The course is assessed by a multiple choice exam, on completion of the exam candidates receive a Highfield Qualifications Level 2 Award in Food Safety at Sea (RQF) certificate which is recognized by MCA.

Length of course: One Day (6 hours tuition + 1 hour multiple choice exam)
